Based in our Newcastle office, Amelia is a senior family law solicitor with over nine years’ experience across the full spectrum of family law matters.
Amelia completed her National Mediation Accreditation in March 2024 and completed her Masters in Applied Law, with a major in Family Dispute Resolution Practice in June 2024. Amelia is in the process of becoming a registered family dispute resolution practitioner (FDRP) in addition to her practice as a family lawyer and is looking forward to servicing the community through dispute resolution practices.
Amelia assists her clients in every aspect of separation including divorce, child/spousal support, allegations of family violence, relocation, separation of financial affairs, and consent orders.
Amelia provides her clients with clear and practical advice and prides herself on regularly being able to negotiate outcomes through alternative dispute resolution. This allows clients to avoid the stress of commencing Court proceedings and reduces their legal costs. Despite this, in some cases it may be necessary to commence Court proceedings and, in these circumstances, Amelia is a strong advocate for her client’s best interests.
